How BY began

BY was built on a shared belief that founders deserve investors who understand what it takes to build a company. What began as a partnership between operators has grown into a global investment platform, with the same founder-first mindset at its core.

    A shared conviction.

    Abdallah Yafi, Ghaith Yafi and Rami El-Jisr brought their experience and their own capital together to back founders, starting with the region they knew best.

    From competitors to partners.

    Sohrab Jahanbani first knew Abdallah and Ghaith as competitors. He later became an advisor, then a partner, bringing his own operating experience to the firm.
